Duane Morris Atlanta Office Adds Trial Partner Miguel Alexander Pozo

Miguel Alexander PozoATLANTA, August 2, 2017—Miguel Alexander Pozo has joined Duane Morris LLP’s Atlanta office as a partner in the firm’s Trial Practice Group. Pozo enhances the firm’s litigation capabilities in Atlanta and throughout the U.S. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Pozo was deputy general counsel and head of litigation at Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC.

Prior to his time at Mercedes-Benz, Pozo was a partner at Lowenstein Sandler LLP in Roseland, New Jersey, and opened the firm’s Washington, D.C., office in 2014. His practice focused on advising and counseling clients in the luxury goods industry on brand protection/IP issues, employment law disputes and commercial litigation matters. Pozo served as the relationship partner for a variety of high-profile clients, including LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Mercedes-Benz USA, Hublot, TAG Heuer, Thomas Pink, The Juilliard School, MTV and Target.

Pozo is a 1998 graduate of Rutgers University School of Law-Newark, where he was managing editor of Rutgers Race and the Law Review, and 1994 graduate of Hofstra University. He served as the 36th national president of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) from 2013–2014 and as the 30th president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ) from 2009–2010.

In 2015, Pozo received the New Jersey Law Journal’s “Lifetime Achievement” Award and was named to Hispanic Business magazine’s “50 Influentials” list in 2013. The New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law named Pozo its “Professional Lawyer of the Year” in 2011 and he received two “40 Under 40” awards in 2009 from the New Jersey Law Journal and NJ Biz magazine, respectively. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and his Georgia bar admission is pending.
