PHILADELPHIA and WASHINGTON, D.C., July 23, 2013—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that four partners in the firm's Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group have been named to "The Nation's Most Powerful Employment Attorneys" listings for 2013. Partners James Redeker and Jonathan Segal of the firm's Philadelphia office have been recognized among "The Nation's Most Powerful Employment Attorneys – Top 100" and partner Denyse Sabagh of the firm's Washington, D.C., office is one of 20 attorneys named to the list of "The Nation's Most Powerful Employment Attorneys – Immigration." Additionally, partner Michael Tiliakos of the firm's New York office was recognized among "The Nation's Most Powerful Employment Attorneys – Up-and-Comers." The lists are published by Human Resource Executive magazine and are based on peer and client evaluations conducted by Law Dragon.

Redeker represents a wide range of companies in all aspects of their personnel and labor relations. His practice focuses primarily on high-risk employment terminations, union prevention, union counter campaigns, collective bargaining, union contract administration, National Labor Relations Act problems, and strikes. He has represented companies before all enforcement agencies concerned with these matters, as well as the courts. Clients include companies in the steel, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, retail, fabrication, construction, transportation, food, warehouse, banking, nursing homes, home healthcare and hospital industries. Redeker has served as special counsel to some of the nation's largest companies to assist in solving unusual and difficult personnel and culture change issues. In addition, he has been retained as an expert witness to testify in litigation involving employee discipline and due process in the workplace. Redeker received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and received his M.A., with honors, from the University of Arkansas and his B.A., cum laude, from the Central University of Iowa.

Segal is a partner in Duane Morris' Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group in Philadelphia and is also the managing principal of the Duane Morris Institute, which provides training for human resource professionals, in-house counsel, benefits administrators and managers. He focuses his practice on preventive counseling, training and policy development; general counseling; mergers and acquisitions; privileged audits; contracts/agreements; and traditional labor. Segal is also frequently a featured speaker at national, state and local human resource, business and legal conferences, including conferences sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management, the Pennsylvania State Chamber of Business and Industry and the Association of Corporate Counsel-America. He also has provided training to federal and state judges, as well as managers of various national security agencies. In 2013, Temple University's Fox School of Business and Management named him the recipient of its "Outstanding HR Leader of 2013" award. Since 2007, Segal has been listed six times in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business among the top-rated lawyers for labor and employment in Pennsylvania. Segal received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

Sabagh is the head of Duane Morris' Immigration Practice Group. She practices in the areas of immigration and nationality law and litigation and has more than 25 years of experience in representing diverse clients. She is a recognized leader in all aspects of immigration law. She has in-depth experience representing individual and corporate clients for all of their immigration needs, including E, H, J, L, O, P and TN non-immigrant and EB-1, PERMs, and EB-5 immigrant visas, J-1 waivers and outbound issues. She also represents clients in I-9 audits, complex immigration cases, consular processing and immigration ramifications of criminal charges. She is a frequently featured speaker at national, state and local conferences, including those sponsored by the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the D.C. Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and Society for Human Resource Management. Sabagh has been recognized continually by Chambers USA and Chambers Global, The International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers, The Washingtonian Magazine, The Washington Post and Super Lawyers as among the top-rated lawyers for immigration. She is a former national president and general counsel of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and serves on its board of governors. Sabagh is on the board of directors of the National Immigration Forum, Arab-American Institute and Immigrants' List. She is a 1977 magna cum laude graduate of George Mason University Law School and a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Tiliakos practices in the area of employment law in Duane Morris' New York office. He has significant experience representing both private and municipal clients in employment actions, including class and collective actions, brought under anti-discrimination statutes, and in such civil rights cases as false arrest, excessive use of force, malicious prosecution, selective enforcement and First Amendment retaliation. Tiliakos conducts extensive employee and management training courses, including anti-harassment training and courses on how to effectively manage employees in accordance with various employment laws. He also counsels clients on compliance with employment laws and conducts workplace investigations and wage-and-hour audits. Tiliakos is a 1996 cum laude graduate of New York Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, and a graduate, with honors, of Pennsylvania State University.
