LONDON, July 1, 2019—Duane Morris LLP announced today that Nic Hart and Alice Head have joined as partner and associate, respectively, in the firm’s Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group in the London office. Both attorneys join Duane Morris from Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where Hart led the firm’s London Employment practice.

Nic Hart provides business-focused employment advice and litigation for a range of clients, including high profile venture capital funds. He has experience managing organized labor and trade disputes arising under trade union recognition and acts for significant manufacturers, upscale professional contracting firms and clients in the logistics sector. Hart also advises companies on data protection responsibilities and the employment issues arising from those responsibilities. In particular, he counsels clients on the implementation of GDPR-compliant policies, responding to data subject access requests and other litigious employee data protection compliance issues. Over his career, Hart has advised on all aspects of UK employment law, including executive dismissal, high value settlement agreements, complex team moves, as well as injunctions, competition issues, trade union and organized labor disputes and tribunal litigation.

Alice Head advises clients on day-to-day HR issues including grievances, performance management, data protection, dismissals, enforcement of post-termination restrictions and large-scale redundancy and restructuring exercises. Her practice also includes managing and providing advice on global employee projects. Head has experience dealing with trade union matters and complex employment litigation in the employment tribunals, appellate and high courts. She also provides customized training to clients on various employment law topics. Head works with clients from large multinationals and listed companies, to startups and SMEs across a range of sectors, including financial services, civil engineering, oil and gas, food manufacturing, retail and global logistics. She also advises senior executives on high value employment and partnership disputes.
