Lauren Pugh practices in the area of litigation and is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Litigation and Commercial Litigation divisions. Ms. Pugh’s experience includes representing hospitals and health systems in complex, multiparty, class actions along with straightforward, single-party disputes in both federal and state courts. In commercial disputes, Ms. Pugh has defended clients in court cases involving breach of contract and related theories of recovery.
Ms. Pugh maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing immigrants seeking United States citizenship. Ms. Pugh also volunteers with the Support Center for Child Advocates, an organization that provides legal assistance and social service advocacy to children who have experienced abuse or neglect in Philadelphia County.
After starting at the firm as a junior associate, Ms. Pugh spent one year serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Mark A. Kearney of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania before returning to the firm.
Ms. Pugh is a 2020 magna cum laude graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she was a member of the Villanova Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif, and a summa cum laude graduate of St. Joseph's University.
