Terry Ahearn is a trial lawyer and represents clients in intellectual property and other complex commercial litigation related to high technology. Terry also represents clients in data protection and cybersecurity. Terry has significant experience in complex high-technology litigations, including pre-litigation investigations, budgeting and staffing, conducting large-scale discovery, preparing expert testimony, and managing and participating in all phases of trial and appeal.

Terry’s trial experience includes multiple trials before the federal district courts, hearings before the United States International Trade Commission and arbitrations before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, American Arbitration Association and JAMS. Terry has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit, and has participated in negotiations with the United States Attorney, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Securities and Exchange Commission.

Terry has been an adjunct lecturer and presenter at Santa Clara University School of Law on various intellectual property and commercial litigation topics. Terry is a certified CIPP/US by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Terry is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was articles editor of the Santa Clara Law Review, and a cum laude graduate of Fordham University.
