William R. Heaston practices in the areas of appellate litigation, commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Mr. Heaston is a 2021 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he served as senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law and received the Lipman Redman Prize for excellence in legal research and writing. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Cheryl A. Krause of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Honorable Stephanie M. Rose of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, and the Honorable Jonathan E. Hawley of the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. He also completed an externship in the University of Pennsylvania Office of Audit, Compliance and Privacy.
In addition to his legal training, Mr. Heaston holds graduate degrees from the Wharton School and the University of Sussex, where he focused his research on corporate compliance issues and anti-corruption policy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Drake University in his hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.
