Join Duane Morris’ Pro Bono Program and Women's Impact Network for Success for a CLE in honor of International Women’s Day. The webinar, New Frontiers in Post-Conviction Relief for Trafficking & Domestic Violence Survivors, will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EST. Kate Mogulescu, Associate Professor of Clinical Law at Brooklyn Law School and Founder of the ABA Survivor Reentry Project, and Sharon Caffrey, co-chair of Duane Morris' Trial Practice Group, will discuss advances in legal remedies for trafficking/domestic violence survivors who were convicted of crimes as a result of the violence they experienced, including the New York Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act, state vacatur laws, and novel theories for relief under the federal First Step Act.
International Women’s Day is a day to reflect on progress made, call for change, and celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women. Learn how you too may effectuate change by assisting survivors pro bono.
