PHILADELPHIA, September 14, 2012—Duane Morris LLP has achieved a top-three ranking nationally in The American Lawyer's 2012 Summer Associates Survey. The firm's summer associates gave the firm a perfect score in three areas. The firm's ranking is an improvement of 50 places from the 2011 results.
The summer associates provided feedback on their work experience in nine areas, which include interest level of the work and how much "real" work was assigned; training and guidance; interactions with partners and full-time associates; how well the firm communicated its goals and expectations; their rating of the firm overall as a place to work; and their inclination to accept a job if one were offered. First- and second-year law students clerking at firms for at least three weeks during the summer were eligible to respond to the survey.
Ninety-three percent of Duane Morris' summer associates responded to the anonymous survey, conducted from early June to early August of this year. Of particular note, they gave the firm a perfect score in three key areas: training and guidance; full-time associate and summer associate interactions; and inclination to accept a full-time job if one were offered.
