Holly Engelmann, P.C. is a results-oriented and client-focused litigation and trial attorney with twenty years of experience handling complex litigation. Holly’s practice focuses on patent litigation in the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and the ITC. She is well-versed in the nuances of practicing in these venues and the idiosyncrasies of the judges in those venues.
Before joining Duane Morris, Holly spent eighteen years at one of the most well-known plaintiff’s patent litigation firms where she amassed substantial experience managing high-stakes litigation from client inception through verdict and settlement. Having participated in many jury trials and ALJ evidentiary hearings, Holly is able to adeptly hone in on what is important and how it can be best presented to a jury or judge. She also has experience extending to complex commercial litigation, residential mortgage-backed securities litigation, insurance recovery and bankruptcy.
Holly served as in-house legal counsel while on secondment at Ericsson, working with the company’s patent assertion and litigation groups. In that capacity, she managed internal business and legal aspects of preparing for and participating in multifront patent litigation in federal district court and the ITC related to Ericsson’s wireless technologies.
Holly is a member of the Eastern District of Texas Bench Bar Conference Planning Committee, Judge Albright’s Working Group, and the Paul Brown American Inn of Court. She is also a member of the Duane Morris Women’s Impact Network for Success (“WINS”) Steering Committee and served as a member of the Duane Morris Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Retreat Steering Committee for 2022.
Holly is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, where she was an editor of the Southern Methodist University Law Review, inductee to The Order of Barristers, and Best Advocate of the Year award recipient. During law school, Holly interned for Justice Craig T. Enoch of the Supreme Court of Texas, and Justice David W. Chew of the Eighth Court of Appeals of Texas, and served as Ticketmaster’s first legal intern.
Prior to law school, Holly taught high school mathematics and served as the cheerleading coach and class advisor at John Glenn High School in Norwalk, California.
Holly earned a B.A. in mathematics from Whittier College while also serving as the Sports Editor of The Quaker Campus School Paper and was a player and captain of the basketball team.
