About the Program
This program will examine the evolving legal and political landscape affecting LGBTQIA+ communities and the challenges facing the civil rights leaders, lawyers and advocates working to serve them. Through the perspectives of leaders in advocacy, public service and legal practice, the panel will discuss the impact of recent executive orders, legislation and related developments on LGBTQIA+ individuals and institutions. The conversation will also consider issues of bias, professional responsibility, access to justice, client counseling and ethical leadership, with a focus on what it means to meet this moment as legal and community leaders.
