Barbara A. Ruth has over 25 years of experience and practices in the areas of federal, state and local taxation, with particular emphasis on income tax compliance and planning for estates, trusts, nonprofits and high net worth individuals. She also devotes her practice to litigation consulting services, including criminal and civil tax controversies, damage measurement, marital dissolution and litigation settlement and award tax treatment and reporting. Ms. Ruth co-supervises the Fiduciary Practice and Nonprofit Practice of the Tax Accounting Group. Prior to joining the Tax Accounting Group, she was associated with a local accounting firm.
She is a published author and editor of the Tax Accounting Group’s Client Alerts and other tax and financial publications designed specifically for our clients. Ms. Ruth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. A graduate of Penn State, Dickinson School of Law, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Millersville University.
